Facebook Considers Installing "Panic Button" on its UK Web after Government Pressure

I like this idea. Only question is, what about in other places of the world where Facebook is used? I think Facebook is lazy, they only do things to protect their users under intense pressure. I wish Facebook would take a more proactive approach in making majorly needed improvements to their application instead of just the constant cosmetic changes to the interface which help no one at all anyway.
